EDDIE ROSE is a strong supporter of campaign finance reform, and has led the fight to expose government waste and political corruption in Orange County. Following the Orange County bankruptcy debacle, Eddie joined with numerous concerned citizens to help defeat the ill-advised 1/2 cent sales tax proposal (Measure R), as well as the equally ill-advised proposed County Charter (Measure T), In 1996, Eddie wrote the ballot argument in support of term limits, a county-wide measure which passed overwhelmingly. Eddie was also an early and active supporter of state-wide Propositions 187 (to deny welfare benefits to illegal aliens) and 209 (to eliminate reverse discrimination and racial quotas), both of which passed with large majorities.
EDDIE ROSE is a strong believer in the need for preservation of open space, natural habitats, and wetlands. Eddie has worked with various groups and individuals throughout Orange County to stop the commercial airport at El Toro, and to stop the proposed extension of the Foothill-South toll road. Eddie has been and remains firmly committed to halt the proliferation of urban sprawl in south Orange County.
